Chewing behaviour can be frustrating for new puppy owners.
It is normal for puppies and dogs to chew on objects as they explore the world. For young dogs, chewing is a way to explore their surroundings and even relieve pain that might be caused by incoming teeth. Puppies may also chew when hungry or bored. Staying calm but firm, and redirecting the behaviour can be helpful. Deterrent products like stop chew can also help.
